(1)Ehime education board adopts controversial textbook
MATSUYAMA, Japan - Nobukatsu Fujioka (L), a professor at the University of Tokyo, holds up a copy of a controversial history textbook at a press conference at the Ehime prefectural government office in Matsuyama on Aug. 15. The refectural education board decided to adopt the textbook written by a group of nationalistic scholars, including Fujioka, for use at three junior high schools opening next month. (Kyodo)
