UNEP envoy Kato to perform during Johannesburg summit
TOKYO, Japan - Singer and U.N. Environment Program (UNEP) goodwill ambassador Tokiko Kato will hold concerts in the Johannesburg suburbs on Aug. 28 and 29 to promote conservation, organizers said Aug. 17. The city is the site of the upcoming World Summit on Sustainable Development from Aug. 26 to Sept. 4. Photo was taken when Kato staged concerts with South African musicians in Tokyo in June 2001.
