Kawaguchi leaves for 3-nation Africa tour
NARITA, Japan - Japanese Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi leaves Narita airport on Aug. 25 for a two-week visit to Ethiopia, Angola and South Africa. Kawaguchi will be the first-ever Japanese foreign minister to visit Angola and the first in 18 years to Ethiopia, aiming to convey Japan's commitments for peace and development in Africa. In South Africa, she is to attend the U.N. World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg. (Kyodo)
