Car-sharing project starts in Fukuoka

FUKUOKA, Japan - A ceremony is held to launch the start of a car-sharing project in Fukuoka, southwestern Japan, on Oct. 1 to help reduce traffic and environmental pollution. The project, which began with five electric cars, is to expand in the future, eventually involving 30 vehicles and some 300 participants. (Kyodo)
