Toyota launches Wish 7-seat minivan

NAGOYA, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. launched a new compact-class, seven-passenger vehicle, the Wish (photo) on Jan.20, which it says offers the interior comfort of a station wagon or minivan and the driving performance of a sedan. The vehicle, designed on the theme ''a wish comes true,'' will be available to Netz and Toyota Vista dealers nationwide at prices starting from 1,898,000 yen. (Kyodo)

Inside the vehicle, the driver's seat slides backward 54cm to create a passageway to the rear seat, and the sliding door automatically opens and closes to make it easier to get in and out from the sidewalk.
