Nihon Univ. holds job seminar

TOKYO, Japan - Nihon University opens a job seminar in Tokyo on Feb. 12 for some 12,000 students who will graduate two-year colleges, four-year universities and graduate schools in spring 2004, with about 190 manufacturers, banks and other firms taking part. (Kyodo)

Tohoku University and TEPCO to conduct joint research on decommissioning

The term is five years. The division will conductresearch in a wide range of fields to solve various technical problems at the decommissioning site, including evaluation technology to detect the aging deterioration of structures. With the aim of fostering human resources, a CFReND branch office will be established at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant site this summer. On-site exchanges of opinions between engineers at the decommissioning site and Tohoku University faculty and graduate students will be promoted.
