Unions urge equal treatment for foreign workers

TOKYO, Japan - Foreign workers rally in front of the head office of Nissan Motor Co. in Tokyo's Chuo Ward on March 10 to urge the state and companies to treat foreign and Japanese workers equally. The Zentoitsu Workers Union, which has foreign members, and four other unions made the demand to coincide with Japan's ''shunto'' annual spring labor-management wage talks. (Kyodo)
