Black-tailed gulls rear babies in Aomori
HACHINOHE, Japan - Black-tailed gulls, designated as a natural treasure of Japan, rear their babies on Kabushima Island in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture, on May 22. Every year, some 35,000 gulls arrivee on the breeding ground and leave for northern regions in August. (Kyodo)
