Former Japanese fashion model Hiroko Matsumoto dies
PARIS, France - Former Japanese fashion model Hiroko Matsumoto (file photo) died at a Paris hospital on June 20 at age 67, her relatives said June 21. The cause of the death was withheld. Matsumoto, who was invited to go to Paris by fashion magnate Pierre Cardin in 1960, was the first Japanese to work for the Paris-based collection. (Kyodo)
