Former Philippine sex slaves picket Japanese Embassy

MANILA, Philippines - About 30 Philippine women who were forced into sexual slavery by the Japanese military during World War II hold a rally in front of the Japanese Embassy in Manila on July 25 to mourn the death of 71-year-old Correa Simeon. Simeon was one of 46 Filipino former ''comfort women'' who sued the Japanese government to demand legal compensation and an official apology. (Kyodo)
