Toyota releases hybrid version of Alphard minivan

NAGOYA, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. on July 30 released the gasoline-electric hybrid version of its Alphard minivan introduced in May last year, Alphard Hybrid. The Alphard Hybrid features a system made up of a 2.4-liter high-efficiency gas engine, front motor and continuously variable transmission. The G Edition in the Alphard Hybrid series is priced at 4.12 million yen, about 1.1 million yen more than the gasoline version. (Kyodo)
