Japan firms may make over 20% of Boeing's next-generation jet
TOKYO, Sept. 19 Kyodo - Randy Tinseth, a director of U.S. aircraft manufacturer Boeing Co.'s commercial jet unit, said in Tokyo on Sept. 19 that the company may allow Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. and Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., to produce 20% or more of its next-generation 7E7 passenger jet, a model of which he is holding. The plane is currently under development. (Kyodo)
