Bridgestone lowers earnings forecasts after factory fire

TOKYO, Japan - Shigeo Watanabe (R), president of tire manufacturer Bridgestone Corp., tells reporters in Tokyo on Sept. 24 that the company has revised an earnings outlook taking into account the impact of a fire at its Tochigi factory, with net and pretax profit forecasts lowered for the year ending Dec. 31.
