4,400 evacuated for WWII bomb disposal in Osaka
SASEBO, Japan - Ground Self-Defense Force members use a crane to pick up an unexploded World War II bomb at a construction site in Osaka's Tennoji Ward on Oct. 13. About 4,400 local residents were evacuated and train services were affected while experts defused the bomb, which was apparently dropped by U.S. forces during the war. (Kyodo)
