Chiang Kai-shek's widow dies in N.Y. at 106
TAIPEI, Taiwan - Madame Chiang Kai-shek (file photo), widow of the former Republic of China president, died at her home in New York on Oct. 23 at the age of 106. Born as May-ling Soong in China in 1897 and educated in the United States, she is credited by historians as one of the most influential woman of the 20th century. (Kyodo)
