TOKYO, Japan - Caricatures of Hollywood superstar-turned California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (back R) and New York Yankees outfielder Hideki Matsui (fore R) are among the images taking top billing on the new year's decorative ''hagoita'' battledores at an annual exhibition of the traditional paddles which began in Tokyo on Dec. 3. Other ''in-the-news'' faces appearing on the battledores include lawmaker Naoto Kan, leader of the Democratic Party of Japan, which sharply increased strength in the House of Representatives in November.
