LDP adopts policy of revising Constitution
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (C), who is also president of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), joins other LDP members in raising their fists in a vow to win a majority in the House of Councillors election this summer, at a party meeting at a Tokyo hotel on Jan. 16. The party adopted its basic policies for the year, including plans to draft a proposal in 2005 to revise the Constitution and help rebuild Iraq. (Kyodo)
