Toyota, Nissan fully meet wage hike demands from labor unions
TOKYO, Japan - Katsuhiko Hagiwara, secretary general of the Confederation of Japan Automobile Workers' Union, speaks during a press conference in Tokyo on March 17 about management's replies to the trade union demands for new wages. Toyota Motor Corp. and Nissan Motor Co. fully met the demands, but for most electronics firms, bonuses will not reach the amounts demanded by their labor unions. (Kyodo)
