(1)Bones, teeth, metal found at Kitora tomb

KASHIHARA, Japan - The photo released by the Culture Agency shows the floor of a stone chamber at the site of the ancient Kirora tomb in Asuka, Nara Prefecture, where human bones and teeth as well as metal believed to be from a burial casket have been found. The Kitora tomb is thought to be the burial place of someone related to the seventh century Emperor Temmu. The National Research Institute for Cultural Properties said June 18 that the latest findings from its excavations are expected to provide clues to the person's identity. (Kyodo)
