Commissioner Negoro to resign in late Sept.

TOKYO, Japan - Japanese baseball commissioner Yasuchika Negoro (file photo) said on Sept. 18 he intends to resign from his post possibly at an owners meeting Sept. 29 after failing to avert a strike by the players. (Kyodo)
