(2)Talking 'cuddling robot' developed for elderly

NAGOYA, Japan - Business Design Laboratory Co., a Nagoya-based high-tech venture business, said Dec. 1 it has developed a ''cuddling robot'' for elderly people which is capable of conversing with them using tens of thousands of input dialogue patterns. The ''cuddling ifbot'', 45 centimeters high, was put on sale the same day at the Nagoya branch of the Matsuzakaya department store chain, for 604,800 yen. (Kyodo)
