Sasaki inks with Yokohama for 500 mil. yen

YOKOHAMA, Japan - Yokohama BayStars closer Kazuhiro Sasaki confirms at a press conference in Yokohama on Dec. 8 a deal worth 500 million yen plus performance-related incentives in his final year of a two-year contract signed last off-season. ''Next year will be a crucial year in my baseball career. I'll train all over again and put on the best performance ever,'' the 36-year-old Sasaki said. (Kyodo)
