Financial services chief upbeat on new deposit insurance system

TOKYO, Japan - Financial Services Minister Tatsuya Ito speaks in an interview with Kyodo News on March 28. He expressed confidence in the smooth introduction of a refund guarantee limit on liquid deposits from April 1, noting stability in the financial system. ''The financial system is stable as a whole.
