Hitachi develops wrist sensor for remote monitoring of pulses

TOKYO, Japan - Electronics manufacturer Hitachi Ltd. said May 24 it has fabricated a prototype wrist-worn sensor (ih handout photo) that can transmit pulse data to a remote monitoring center. This is the first such sensor in the industry, Hitachi said, adding that it plans to commercialize the small wrist sensor in 2008. (Kyodo)
