U.N. adopts resolution demanding Syrian cooperation in Hariri pr
NEW YORK, United States - The U.N. Security Council prepares to hold a meeting of foreign ministers on Oct. 31. The meeting later unanimously adopted a resolution demanding Syria's cooperation in an investigation into the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri. The resolution was jointly submitted by Britain, France and the United States and warned of ''further action,'' including sanctions, if Syria does not cooperate in the probe. (Kyodo)
