Big underground floodway in eastern Saitama
SAITAMA, Japan - One of the largest underground flood control channels in the world that is located in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture is opened to the press. The underground water tank measuring about 25 meters in height, 177 meters in length and 78 meters in width was built to drastically reduce flood damage in low-lying eastern Saitama Prefecture.
