Toyota chief has no plan to limit U.S. sales to avert friction
SAN ANTONIO, United States - Toyota Motor Corp. President Katsuaki Watanabe speaks at a press conference marking the opening of the $1.28-billion San Antonio plant of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc. on Nov. 17. Watanabe suggested that the automaker will not deliberately limit sales in the United States to avert trade squabbles. ''What is primarily important is to manufacture excellent products by taking into account the standpoint of customers,'' he said. (Kyodo)
