Orix lefty Maekawa arrested in hit-and-run accident in Osaka

OSAKA, Japan - Orix Buffaloes left-handed pitcher Katsuhiko Maekawa (in file photo) was arrested on Jan. 7 on suspicion of involvement in a hit-and-run accident in Osaka the previous day while driving a car without a license, Police said the car driven by Maekawa, 28, hit a woman on a bicycle at a crossing in the city's Chuo Ward at around 2 p.m. on Jan. 6. The woman, a 28-year-old dental hygienist, suffered minor injuries to her elbows. (Kyodo)

Japanese pitcher Darvish divorces TV personality Saeko

Maekawa inks minor league deal with Cardinals
