Panel OKs midterm economic policy to boost growth

TOKYO, Japan - Economic and Fiscal Policy Minister Hiroko Ota speaks at a press conference after the government Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy endorsed a midterm economic policy to boost Japan's economic growth to an annual 2 percent or more in real terms and 3.5 percent in nominal terms during the five-year period from fiscal 2007.
