Ex-Daiei head Higuchi becomes COO of Microsoft Japan

TOKYO, Japan - Yasuyuki Higuchi (R), former president of Daiei Inc., on March 5 became chief operating officer of the Japanese unit of Microsoft Corp., a move aimed at helping the company cope better with growing business opportunities in Japan, it said.
