D. Kameda hit with 1-year ban for foul play in WBC title fight

TOKYO, Japan - Japan Boxing Commission Director Shinichi Saito (R front) announces at a news conference in Tokyo on Oct. 15 that the JBC has slapped Daiki Kameda with a one-year suspension as punishment for foul play during a WBC flyweight title match in Tokyo on Oct. 11 where he lost to champion Daisuke Naito by unanimous decision. Kameda had three points deducted for violations that included lifting Naito and throwing him down in the 12th round. (Kyodo)
