Largest Japanese menswear retailer founder Aoyama dies at 77
TOKYO, Japan - Goro Aoyama (photo taken in 1993), founder and chairman of Japan's largest menswear retailer, Aoyama Trading Co., died of pneumonia on Jan. 15. He was 77. Aoyama, who hailed from Hiroshima Prefecture, founded his company in 1964 and led it to become Japan's largest men's suit retailer by promoting suburban outlets.
