Record number of foreigners in top flight for summer meet

TOKYO, Japan - Georgian Tochinoshin points his name on the rankings list for the upcoming Summer Grand Sumo Tournament in front of his stable in Tokyo on April 24. Tochinoshin and Mongolia's Hakuba became the latest foreign wrestlers to join sumo's elite makuuchi division, bringing the number of foreign-born sumo wrestlers in the top flight to 16, the most in sumo history.
