Diet OKs Yamaguchi as new BOJ deputy governor
TOKYO, Japan - House of Representative members stand to show their approval of the government's nomination of Hirohide Yamaguchi as a new Bank of Japan deputy governor at a plenary session on Oct. 24. The approval puts an end to the political deadlock that had left one of the central bank's most important seats vacant for more than six months. (Kyodo)
