Mitsui & Co. to promote senior managing director Iijima as presi

TOKYO, Japan - Masami Iijima, senior executive managing officer of Mitsui & Co., will be promoted as president of the Japanese major trading house April 1. Iijima, 58, has been in charge of steel materials and other metals operations during most of his career at the major trading house and now heads the resources and energy division. (Kyodo)
