Hitachi to log 700 billion yen net loss for FY 2008, cut workforc

TOKYO, Japan - Hitachi Ltd. President Kazuo Furukawa speaks at a press conference in Tokyo on Jan. 30. Furukawa said the giant electric machinery company expects to incur a group net loss of 700 billion yen for fiscal 2008 to March 31, the worst result since it was established. (Kyodo)
