Hitachi to log record 700 bil. yen net loss for FY 2008

TOKYO, Japan - Hitachi Ltd. President Kazuo Furukawa appears solemn after a press conference in Tokyo on Jan. 30. Furukawa announced that the electronics giant expects to incur a group net loss of 700 billion yen for fiscal 2008 to March 31, the worst result since it was established. (Kyodo)
