FY 2009 budget clears lower house, but Aso may face further turmo
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso rejoices in the House of Representatives plenary session room after the powerful lower house passed the fiscal 2009 budget, worth a record 88.5 trillion yen, on Feb. 27, making it certain it will be enacted by the March 31 end of the current fiscal year.
