Japanese astronaut Wakata ready for Discovery launch

CAPE CANAVERAL, United States - Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata (C) speaks after arriving at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on March 8 for the launch of the U.S. space shuttle Discovery. Wakata will be the first Japanese to stay a long time in space in the International Space Station. (Kyodo)
