Treaty to outlaw cluster bombs gets final Diet approval

TOKYO, Japan - A plenary session of the House of Councillors on June 10 unanimously approves the country's signing of the Convention on Cluster Munitions to ban the use and stockpiling of cluster bombs, paving the way for the government to ratify the treaty. (Kyodo)
