Citibank told to suspend retail sales

TOKYO, Japan - Citibank Japan Ltd. president Darren Buckley speaks at a press conference at the Bank of Japan on June 26. The Financial Services Agency of Japan ordered Citibank Japan the same day to suspend sales activities at its retail banking division for one month from July 15 because of its slack money laundering controls.
