U.S.-Japan nuclear map drill held in 1957: U.S. document

Photo taken in October 2014 shows part of a U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff document dated Feb. 17, 1958, stating the use of nuclear weapons was simulated in a combined U.S.-Japanese Map Exercise FUJI conducted in Japan during the period Sept. 24-28 in 1957. The document was found at the U.S. National Archives in Maryland during a joint investigation by Kyodo News and Akira Kurosaki, associate professor of Fukushima University. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
