Kennedy sends letter to thank Japanese woman for doll set gift

Tsuyako Matsumoto (L) wipes away tears at a nursing home in the northern Japan city of Kitami on Feb. 26, 2015, after she received a framed photo with a message of gratitude from U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy. Matsumoto gifted a set of traditional Japanese "hina" dolls to the ambassador's father, President John F. Kennedy, in 1962. The photo was delivered by JoEllen Gorg (R), principal officer at the U.S. Consulate General in Sapporo City, on behalf of Kennedy. (Pool photo)(Kyodo) ==Kyodo
