Japanese salmon fishing boat leaves for Russia's 200-mile zone
File photo taken in May 2012 shows a salmon fishing boat leaving Nemuro port on the eastern tip of Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido for operations in Russia's 200-mile exclusive economic zone following the lifting of a seasonal fishing ban. Russia's lower house approved legislation in June 2015 banning drift-net fishing from next year, possibly endangering Japanese salmon fishing in the northern Pacific. (Kyodo)
