Japan's Kagawa Pref. signs cooperation pact with Spain's Galicia

Governor Keizo Hamada of Kagawa Prefecture, western Japan, signs an agreement on cooperation with Premier Alberto Nunez Feijoo of Spain's Galicia autonomous region in Santiago de Compostela on Sept. 1, 2015. The accord calls for a bilateral partnership regarding Japan's bid to seek UNESCO World Cultural Heritage registration of its 88-temple pilgrimage route on the smallest main island of Shikoku that comprises Kagawa and three other prefectures. Santiago de Compostela, the final destination of a Christian pilgrimage route, is already listed on the World Heritage register. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
