China embassy begins probe on Japan's wartime forced labor

A meeting is organized by the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo with Japanese organizations and local governments on Sept. 18, 2015, to discuss the issue of Chinese nationals forced by Japan to work at mines and construction sites during World War II. The embassy said it has launched a probe on memorials built across Japan to honor those Chinese laborers as one of China's projects to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the war's end.
