Visitors to the Nanjing Massacre Museum in Nanjing in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu take photos in front of a wall at the museum on Oct. 5, 2015. The number of victims in the 1937-38 mass killings by invading Japanese troops in Nanjing before World War II is put at 300,000 by the museum. UNESCO announced on Oct. 10 that it has added China's "Documents of the Nanjing Massacre" to the Memory of the World Register. (Kyodo)
