Late Japanese poet Mado known for regret over pro-war poems
File photo taken on Nov. 5, 2009, shows Japanese poet Michio Mado, known for children's songs, recording his World War II-related poems. Mado died in 2014 at the age of 104. A recently published collection of his poems includes three pro-war pieces which he regretted having written for the rest of his life. (Kyodo)
