Japanese pop group SMAP on verge of breaking up: sources
Auto racer Katsuyuki Mori, one of the original six members of Japanese pop group SMAP who left the group in 1996, celebrates after winning a race in Kawaguchi, north of Tokyo, on Jan. 28, 2009. SMAP is on the verge of breaking up after more than 20 years, sources at the band's agency said Jan. 13, 2016, in a move that would send shockwaves through the Japanese entertainment industry given the band's popularity at home and elsewhere in Asia.
