Controversial statue in Busan
Civic group members meet the press in front of a museum in Busan, South Korea, on July 4, 2018, standing alongside a statue symbolizing Korean laborers forcibly taken to Japan during wartime. The group left the statue at a sidewalk near the Japanese Consulate General in the city but saw it removed by the local government in May. (Kyodo)
